Oprah Winfrey’s bestie Gayle King is rumored to be leaving “CBS Mornings.” The NY Post noted that she had spent a decade on the show, but sources told Variety late Thursday that King is eying an exit from her current hosting position “amid a major overhaul under the network’s new Editor-in-Chief, Bari Weiss.”
FROM NEW YORK POST:
The morning show mainstay could potentially shift to a different role within the network, the sources said.
A source familiar with the situation told The Post that King hasn’t made any clear career plans and that nothing is set in stone.
King’s rep hasn’t addressed the rumors.
CBS has denied the rumors.
“There have been no discussions with Gayle about her contract that runs through May 2026,” a CBS spokesperson told The Post. “She’s a truly valued part of CBS, and we look forward to engaging with her about the future.”
