From the New York Post: Mayor Eric Adams’ decision to drop his re-election bid provides a boost to Andrew Cuomo in the race for City Hall, but not nearly enough to topple mayoral front-runner and Democratic nominee Zohran Mamdani, pollsters and campaign strategists said.
Before his Sunday announcement, Adams was polling in the high single digits — not enough alone to change the trajectory of the race, said Lee Miringoff, director of the Marist University Institute for Public Opinion.
The mayor received 9% support in Marist’s poll released earlier this month, a distant fourth behind Mamdani, Cuomo and Republican nominee Curtis Sliwa.
There are too few Adams voters to shift elsewhere to make a dramatic difference.

WHAT HISTORY TELLS US…
Now that Adams has dropped out of the mayor’s race, lets look at the history of this once great city.
NYC was a trashcan under Democrat Mayor David Dinkins, who was African American. He operated under the assumption that blacks were treated unfairly. He was terrible! The city was the worst it ever was.
Tired of his biases and mismanagement, voters elected a White, Catholic, Republican named Rudy Giuliani who within a few years turned it all around. He did not focus on race, instead he addressed crime as a policy issue, and he made the city great.
The next mayor was a White man, a Republican named Michael Bloomberg. He was not a race-baiting mayor, he was a businessman who held the city in good standing. He then switched to Independent and did well, and it stayed that way until the very end when he went rogue — becoming a Democrat who would unsuccessfully run for president.
Then a White male, who was a radical Democrat, named Bill de Blasio, who does not align with any religion and is married to an African American, destroyed the city. He left it even worse than Dinkins made it. Like Dinkins, de Blasio painted Republicans and White Christians as racists. He ignored black-on-black crime, drug use, homelessness, and was generally anti-cop.
Then a Democrat, African American man named Eric Adams took over and he further destroyed the city. Again, like the other Dems, he played the race card. He hired leadership roles based on gender and race, avoiding White people whenever possible. Even worse, he let illegal aliens dominate his attention and budget. Today, after 12 years of Democrat control, and 12 years of race-baiting, nobody can safely ride the subway, and the entire city is a cloud of marijuana.
Even worse, unless something changes, in less than 45 days, a Muslim socialist named Mamdani will likely be elected mayor because mass immigration has created a Middle East-like environment. He is a race-baiting candidate, but making it worse this dude is aligned with the radical ideology that caused 9/11. He will bury the once great city to the point of possibly no return.
History shows that the only way the city every returns to greatness is if it elects a Republican who does not focus on race, but instead focuses on the rule of law. This is not based on opinion or bias, it is based on history.
