NOWHERE TO HIDE: Liberals FURIOUS that White House, Trump agencies are joining leftist social media site

The White House on Friday joined Bluesky, a social platform popular with left-leaning users.

Its first post featured a highlight reel of memes, trolls, and messages from President Trump’s first nine months back in office—seemingly a jab at his liberal critics. The inaugural post featured highlights such as Trump’s executive order renaming the Gulf of Mexico, a doctored image of House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries wearing a sombrero and fake mustache, and a series of photos and videos from key moments in Trump’s second term.

“What’s up, Bluesky?” the White House said in a message accompanying the video. ”We thought you might’ve missed some of our greatest hits, so we put this together for you. Can’t wait to spend more quality time together!”

The Department of Health and Human Services, the Department of War, the Department of Homeland Security, and other Trump-led agencies also launched Bluesky accounts on Friday. Vice President JD Vance joined Bluesky in June.

Bluesky saw an influx of users after Elon Musk took over Twitter (now X) in 2022, gaining momentum late last year. Though still smaller than X, it’s become a haven for users seeking a different online atmosphere.

Still, Trump’s social media platform of choice is Truth Social, though he occasionally does post to X from time to time. Trump is the biggest shareholder in Trump Media & Technology Group, the company that owns Truth Social.
