California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) on Monday called Vice President Vance a “dipshit” over his claim about migrant health care spending.
In a White House clip posted Monday on X, Vice President Vance accused Democrats of proposing a $1.5 trillion package that would send “hundreds of billions” to cover health care for illegal aliens while Americans struggle with their own bills, as shutdown talks continue.
“Blatantly false, you dips—,” Newsom responded in his own Monday post on X.
With a government shutdown looming, partisan tensions are rising in Washington. In a Monday post on X, Newsom noted, “Republicans have control of the House, Senate, and White House.”
“If the government shuts down, it’s on them,” he added, echoing similar comments from Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) from over the weekend.
