From KENS 5 News: A 41-year-old San Antonio woman was arrested by Washington D.C. law enforcement Friday afternoon for allegedly threatening former President Donald Trump while possessing a pistol without a license.
The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD), the chief law enforcement agency in the U.S. capital, said in a press release that it “received information” about Christina Montoya traveling to Washington. Her car was later found by police and Montoya was taken into custody soon after.
It’s unclear what kind of threats Montoya allegedly made against Trump, who less than a month ago survived an assassination attempt at a Pennsylvania campaign rally where the FBI said he was struck in the ear by a bullet or a fragment of one. It’s also unknown the timeline of when she allegedly made them in the context of her Friday arrest, but the police report lists an “offense start date” of July 20, 2024.
It is unclear why the woman had traveled to Washington, D.C., as Trump lives in Palm Beach, Florida.
On Friday, Trump was meeting with donors in the Hamptons, New York, the report confirms.
The police report stated that when Montoya was arrested, she was less than a mile from Capitol Hill and about three miles from the White House, and had in her possession a gun and a magazine.
She faces charges of possessing an unregistered firearm, carrying a pistol without a license and threats against a former president, KENS 5 wrote, noting that Trump is listed as the ‘victim’ on the police report.

The D.C. arrest happened just two days after a Chinese man was arrested on Wednesday in Palm Beach, Florida, for repeated attempts to get into Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate. Details below:
