The FBI is investigating a possible sniper’s nest near Palm Beach International Airport, where President Donald Trump exits Air Force One when he lands there.

According to Fox News, which had an exclusive on the news, “The U.S. Secret Service uncovered a suspicious hunting stand with a direct line of sight” to Trump’s exit.

USSS chief of communications Anthony Guglielmi said the stand was discovered during their “advance security preparations” for Trump’s arrival in Palm Beach.

Agents reportedly located the suspicious area on Thursday before handing the investigation over to the FBI.

FBI Director Kash Patel told Fox, “Prior to the President’s return to West Palm Beach, USSS discovered what appeared to be an elevated hunting stand within sight line of the Air Force One landing zone,” Patel told Fox News Digital. “No individuals were located at the scene. The FBI has since taken the investigatory lead, flying in resources to collect all evidence from the scene, and deploying our cell phone analytics capabilities.”

The FBI is working with the USSS on the case.

“There was no impact to any movements, and no individuals were present or involved at the location,” Guglielmi told Fox. “While we are not able to provide details about the specific items or their intent, this incident underscores the importance of our layered security measures.”

During a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, on July 13, former President Donald Trump narrowly escaped a sniper attack.

Later, on September 15, the Secret Service apprehended 59-year-old Ryan Wesley Routh after he allegedly fled an apparent sniper spot at Trump’s West Palm Beach golf course.
