NEWS ALERT: Savannah Guthrie offers massive reward for the recovery of her mother

From NBC News: “TODAY” co-anchor Savannah Guthrie on Tuesday announced her family is offering a reward of up to $1 million for the recovery of her 84-year-old mother, Nancy Guthrie, who disappeared more than three weeks ago.

“Someone knows how to find our mom and bring her home,” Savannah Guthrie wrote in a caption accompanying a video published on Instagram just before 9 a.m. Tuesday.

In the video, a visibly emotional Savannah Guthrie urged the public to keep her mother in their thoughts.

“Please keep praying without ceasing,” she said. “We still believe. We still believe in a miracle. We still believe that she can come home, hope against hope, as my sister says. We are blowing on the embers of hope.”

However, Guthrie also acknowledged that, by Day 24, it may be already too late to find her mother alive.

“We also know she may be lost,” she said. “She may already be gone. She may have already gone home to the Lord that she lives, and is dancing in heaven, with her mom and her dad and with her beloved brother Pierce, and with our daddy.”

“If this is what is to be, we will accept it. But we need to know where she is,” Savannah said, adding that they are now offering a $1 million reward.

“We also know we are not alone in our loss,” Savannah continued. Therefore, she said her family is also donating $500,000 to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, to support other families.

In the Instagram post, Guthrie wrote:

Someone knows how to find our mom and bring her home. Call 1-800-CALL-FBI (1-800-225-5324) — you can remain anonymous — or find a way to reach out to me.

NOTE: Family reward of up to $1 million will be paid only for recovery of Nancy Guthrie, consistent with FBI criteria for payment of its reward in this case: https://www.fbi.gov/wanted/kidnap/nancy-guthrie
