From Breitbart: Multiple sources report that a large group of mostly Central and South American migrants departed the southern Mexican state of Chiapas, intending to reach the U.S. border. The group reportedly demanded faster processing of transit permits from the new Mexican government under President Claudia Sheinbaum.
According to a report by local media, the group is made up of people of “various nationalities,” and includes around 50 children and 30 pregnant women. Some of the children are newborn babies.
Journalist Auden Cabello posted a video of the migrant caravan headed north, along with the following details:
Frustrated with CBP One not working, migrants leave Tapachula to sanctuary Mexico City, marking it as the first migrant caravan under Mexico’s new president, @Claudiashein.
The caravan of migrants has departed from Tapachula, Chiapas, with the goal of reaching the United States. The group consists primarily of families from Central and South America. They are demanding quicker processing of transit permits from Mexican authorities, which would allow them to travel freely through the country. Frustration among the migrants has intensified due to delays and overcrowded conditions in Tapachula.
The caravan is currently being escorted by Mexico’s National Guard, state police, and an ambulance. Authorities are offering migrants the option to remain in Tapachula and receive assistance with their CBP One applications.
@elonmusk has engaged with the topic of the CBP One app, particularly in the context of U.S. immigration policy.
The CBP One app became a focal point during the vice presidential debate when @JDVance fact-checked the moderators. The app’s role in managing asylum appointments at the U.S.-Mexico border has made it a symbol in the immigration debate, with critics arguing it represents an overly simplified or mismanaged approach to immigration.

One of the migrants in the US-bound caravan has already been culled out. According to a video posted by Diario del Sur, it appears to be a domestic abuse case. Police were seen dragging him from the group and hauling him away.
