The Los Angeles area turned into a ‘war zone’ for the second day in a row on Saturday, as hundreds of protesters rioted and tried to stop federal immigration agents from arresting illegal aliens in the city.

From Breitbart: A protester was seen hurling rocks at U.S. Border Patrol vehicles in California, as protests broke out between Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents and leftist protesters.

In a video posted to X, a protester wearing a helmet is seen throwing several rocks at vehicles passing by, including Border Patrol vehicles. Another protester dressed in all black also appears to throw rocks at the vehicles passing by.

Per the Los Angeles Times, protesters and ICE agents got into a “confrontation near a Home Depot” in Paramount, which “escalated into a fiery and tumultuous clash” with at least one injury.

Fox News reporter Bill Melugin explained:

Per federal sources, despite local claims, there was no ICE “raid” at a Home Depot in LA today. DHS has a nearby office in Paramount that they are using as a staging area. Protesters found it and began gathering. ICE will conduct targeted enforcement around LA today, serving criminal judicial warrants and enforcing final orders of removal/deportation orders.

CBP and Border Patrol have been brought in to provide security and extra bodies, and a handful of agitators have already been arrested today for allegedly interfering with federal agents.

Despite inflammatory statements from local politicians making it sound like ICE is sweeping neighborhoods in SoCal & kicking doors down, they are targeting those who already have a deportation orders or who have criminality that has been signed off on by a federal judge. If others are found with the targets and they are also illegal aliens, they will be arrested too. This is enforcement of bipartisan immigration laws that have been on the books for decades.

As Border Patrol and unmarked federal vehicles were leaving the LA suburb of Paramount, protesters were seen throwing rocks at the vehicles.

Below is a video taken from inside one of the federal agent vehicles as they were trying to drive through the street while being pummeled by rocks.

FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino furiously declared, “We are currently seeking information regarding the identity of the person(s) throwing rocks at vehicles conducting critical law enforcement operations. One of the perpetrators in this video is wearing a helmet, and we’re going to use our investigative tools to locate the individual. I strongly suggest you turn yourself in, it’s only a matter of time.”

Federal agents were seen in riot gear as they faced off against the mob of protesters in the streets of Paramount, a town in the Los Angeles area.

Protesters started a big fire in the street, and placed Home Depot shopping carts all over the street to create a roadblock.

Home Depot shopping carts and concrete blocks are seen lying all over the street, i an effort to prevent federal agents from driving through.

Police moved in and started firing tear gas and smoke canisters into the crowd, to force the protesters away from the area.

Here’s something mighty strange… WHO conveniently placed those pallets of cement blocks here where protesters could easily access them?

DHS Secretary Kristi Noem also warned, “A message to the LA rioters: you will not stop us or slow us down. @ICEgov will continue to enforce the law. And if you lay a hand on a law enforcement officer, you will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”

In the nearby town of Compton, California, protesters set a car on fire, and bashed in the window of a sheriff’s truck.

Journalist Anthony Cabassa announced around 7pm local time Saturday, “A protestor launching fireworks toward police has just started a small brush fire nearby. Police being forced to retreat, protestors are advancing launching items at police. Multiple people injured.”

Many of the protesters are seen carrying Mexican flags.

More from Cabassa: This is the current scene in Compton, CA. The protestor crowd continues to grow into the night, all nearby shops are preparing for a night of mayhem, closing up early. Police are in retreat.

Protestors are emptying out buckets full of rocks and empty glass beer bottles, and spraying some kind of liquid/gas into it. Not sure what the plan is for the bottles, but the rocks were used shortly after to launch them toward police. Things are getting worse.

Incredulously, the Los Angeles Police Department released a statement claiming the protests were all “peaceful” and said “We commend all those who exercised their First Amendment rights responsibly.”

It appears the protesters set a small building on fire Saturday night.

The rioters surrounded the ICE detention facility in downtown Los Angeles and started throwing explosives at the building.
