NEWS ALERT: Knife-wielding illegal alien threatened to slit throat of Trump-appointed US Attorney

From the New York Post: The knife-wielding illegal immigrant who allegedly chased down a US Attorney in New York while threatening to slit his throat had previous busts for threatening another person and driving while intoxicated, according to the Department of Homeland Security.

Saul Morales-Garcia — an illegal migrant from El Salvador who was previously deported and snuck back into the country illegally — had already racked up an unsettling rap sheet before he allegedly threatened John Sarcone, the President Trump-appointed US attorney for the Northern District of New York, outside the Hilton Hotel in Albany Tuesday night.

“The alien in question illegally entered our country twice, was deported, returned, and has since been committing crimes across the country,” Department of Homeland Security Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said in a statement Friday.

Morales-Garcia, 40, was previously collared in 2009 in Arlington, Virginia, and convicted of misdemeanor petit larceny and sentenced to 12 months in prison, according to DHS.

After he got out of jail in 2010, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents scooped him up and deported him.

However, sometime between April 21, 2010 and December 10, 2021, Morales-Garcia snuck back into the U.S., as he was arrested in Georgia in December 2021 for drunk driving.

In 2023, he was busted again for disorderly conduct for physically threatening, being drunk in public and possession of an open container.

In 2024, cops in Upper Merion, Pennsylvania arrested Morales-Garcia and charged him with misdemeanor retail theft.

Next comes this week’s attack, when just before 10 p.m. Tuesday night, Morales-Garcia chased U.S. Attorney John Sarcone down the street outside his Albany hotel with a large knife and gestured that he would slit his throat.

The illegal alien criminal has now been charged with attempted second-degree murder and is being held without bail. ICE has also filed a detainer on him.

DHS released a mugshot of Morales-Garcia and declared, “On June 17, Saul Morales-Garcia, a previously deported Salvadoran national, allegedly threatened a sitting U.S. Attorney from the Northern District of New York with a knife. He should have never been in our country in the first place—and now, he will face attempted murder in the second-degree charges and removal.”

The media insisted on calling the illegal alien thug an “Albany man.”

Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) wrote: “BREAKING NEWS: This is not an “ALBANY man.” Saul Morales-Garcia is an ILLEGAL who, according to Albany County Sheriff Craig Apple, tried to kill President @realDonaldTrump’s U.S. Attorney from the Northern District with a knife last night.

“This is Kathy Hochul’s dangerous sanctuary state New York that puts illegals first, New Yorkers last. He must be deported. And Kathy Hochul must be FIRED!”
