NEWS ALERT: Judge extends Biden amnesty for hundreds of thousands of Venezuelans

From Breitbart: A judge is barring President Donald Trump from ending the Temporary Protected Status (TPS) amnesty given to 350,000 Venezuelans — including Tren de Aragua gangsters — by President Joe Biden’s deputies.

A California-based U.S. District Court Judge, Edward Chen, cited the migrants’ economic activity as if that entitled them to legal status regardless of U.S. laws and politics, claiming:

[They] have have higher educational attainment than most U.S. citizens (40-54%)  have bachelors degrees), have higher labor participation rates (80-96%) [because they are younger, on average] … and annually contribute billions of dollars to the U.S. economy and pay hundreds of millions, if not billions, in Social Security taxes.

The California-born judge was nominated by President Barack Obama.

ABC News explained that this order applies to 350,000 Venezuelans whose Temporary Protected Status was scheduled to expire April 7. Additionally, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem has also announced the end of TPS for an estimated 250,000 additional Venezuelans in September.

According to Newsweek, the ‘race card’ was played, by both the lawyers supporting the Venezuelans, and the judge: In court, attorneys for TPS holders argued that Noem lacked the legal authority to end the protections and that her decision was rooted in racial prejudice. “It seems to defame an entire group of 600,000 Venezuelans who are here with this image,” said Judge Chen. “Isn’t that almost the definition of racism?”

Multiple lawsuits had been filed by lawyers for the National TPS Alliance and TPS holders.

Federal judge Edward Chen in San Francisco has blocked the Trump administration from ending TPS (Temporary Protected Status) for 350,000 Venezuelans in the US, for now. Their work permits & protection from removal was set to be terminated next week.

Judge Chen writes: “…the Secretary’s action threatens to: inflict irreparable harm on hundreds of thousands of persons whose lives, families, and livelihoods will be severely disrupted, cost the United States billions in economic activity, and injure public health and safety in communities throughout the United States. At the same time, the government has failed to identify any real countervailing harm in continuing TPS for Venezuelan beneficiaries.”

Notably, U.S. law says this is not subject to judicial review, and the 9th Circuit upheld that in Trump’s first term.

Trump advisor Stephen Miller declared, “This is what we mean by judicial tyranny. Biden mass imported illegals from Venezuela, including criminals, gave them welfare and social security numbers. President Trump won an election promising to end the invasion. A rogue marxist judge just ordered Biden’s amnesty continued.”

Former DHS Acting Secretary Chad Wolf wrote, “By law, TPS decisions are NOT subject to judicial review. Period. Congress needs to step forward with meaningful judicial reform now.”

Democrat Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (Fla.) cheered, “This is a huge victory. Venezuelans here legally under TPS can continue to work and live without fear — for now. This is the first step in beating back Trump’s collective punishment of Venezuelans. I’ll keep fighting. #HastaElFinal.”

Fox News host David Asman slammed the judge’s decision.

“President Trump was voted in specifically to close an open border. Now he’s prevented from reversing an ill-conceived order made by a radical, open-border DHS Sec that let in hundreds of thousands of unvetted Venezuelans? Lawfare is completely out of control,” Asman wrote.
