From Washington Examiner: Cincinnati police are investigating an incident at Vice President JD Vance’s residence in the city. Shortly after midnight, police were notified of a disturbance at the location, according to reports.
Multiple windows at Vance’s Cincinnati home were reportedly shattered. At 12:15 a.m. local time, the Secret Service called local law enforcement to notify them of a suspect “running eastbound,” according to a Cincinnati police dispatcher.
Vance was reportedly with his family at the home for the last week but departed on Sunday afternoon. According to reports, no one was home at the time of the incident. A suspect is reportedly in police custody.
According to WXIX Fox 19, police have arrested William DeFoor, 26, for the incident after he was detained by Secret Service agents.
Court documents reveal that a U.S. Secret Service agent saw DeFoor walking onto Vance’s property and “damaging four of the victim’s residential windows and the victim’s vehicle.”
He is being charged with one count each of obstructing official business, criminal damaging or endangering, criminal trespass, and vandalism, the outlet reports, citing court records.
“The U.S. Secret Service is coordinating with the Cincinnati Police Department and the U.S. Attorney’s Office as charging decisions are reviewed,” a statement from Secret Service read.
