From the Daily Mail: Iran has blown up a CIA station at the US Embassy in Saudi Arabia as the agency works to arm militants for an uprising against the Islamic regime.
A suspected Iranian drone struck the CIA station on Monday, just two days after the spy agency pinpointed the location of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei for the strike that killed him, according to the Washington Post.
An internal State Department alert revealed that Tehran’s attack ‘collapsed’ part of the station’s roof and ‘contaminated’ the compound with smoke.
The station also sustained ‘structural damage’ while personnel were advised to ‘shelter in place.’

While the attack amounts to a minor setback for the spy agency’s presence in Saudi Arabia, it may find significance to an embattled regime that has long viewed the CIA as its ultimate foe, given Washington’s covert support for the 1953 military coup that ousted Iran’s elected prime minister.
