Investigative journalist Laura Loomer has exposed another person working with the Trump administration who has a history of anti-Trump posts.

Loomer has repeatedly voiced concerns that the people working inside the Trump administration are often not thoroughly vetted, and some may be attempting to work against the president’s agenda from the inside.

Elon Musk became angry with Loomer in December after she voiced concerns about a man born in India who was to serve in the Trump administration as a Senior Policy Advisor for Artificial Intelligence.  However, Musk has since appeared to gain great respect for her work.

Thursday evening, Loomer drew attention to an official now working with Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent.

Loomer wrote:

EXCLUSIVE: ‼️ WHITE HOUSE VETTING CRISIS CONTINUES AS TRUMP APPOINTED US TREASURY SECRETARY INVITES PRO- IMPEACHMENT TRUMP HATER TO COLLABORATE WITH HIM AT THE TREASURY DEPARTMENT ‼️

Scott Bessent invites pro-impeachment and pro-censorship Trump hater to collaborate with him at the @USTreasury.

🚨Trump appointed US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent @SecScottBessent
invited Rabid Trump hater John Hope Bryant to work with him at the US Treasury despite John Hope Bryant’s public praise of former Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey @Jack for banning President Trump’s X account on January 8, 2021 after J6. 🚨

Bessent called @johnhopebryant his “longtime friend” in the X post below on 4/3/25.

Here’s the evidence that John Hope Bryant celebrated the deplatforming of President Trump, and called for @realDonaldTrump @potus to be IMPEACHED 2 days after J6. John Hope Bryant also called on Trump to RESIGN after J6, but he has since been brought into the Trump admin by his good friend Scott Bessent.

I am going to personally tell President Trump and personally show him these receipts. This is another egregious Trump admin VETTING FAILURE that puts President Trump at risk. Shame on @SecScottBessent.

In response to her post, Elon Musk admitted that the news is “troubling.”

On April 3, Bessent had announced: “Financial literacy is a necessity, not a luxury. To kick off Financial Literacy Month, I had a great meeting with my longtime friend @johnhopebryant, who is collaborating with us at @USTreasury on the Financial Literacy for All (FL4A) initiative. We look forward to working together to help deliver quality financial tools and knowledge to empower all Americans.”

In reply, Bryant wrote, “April is #financialliteracymonth – and this is the beginning of a process to hopefully get #FinancialLiteracy embedded into the fabric of America. 70% of the economy is consumer spending. Biggest economy in the world. Relies on us. Thanks for this @SecScottBessent👇🏾.”

Bryant’s X account is literally filled with posts critical of President Trump.  In several posts, he appeared to gloat over the legal cases launched against Trump during the four years he was out of the Oval Office.

On January 8, 2021, Bryant thanked then-Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey for suspending Trump’s Twitter account.

On the same day, Bryant added, “As much as Mr. Trump deserves it times 100, I’m not sure that a second impeachment would help heal this fractured nation. It would BECOME the new focus. Censure him, and show him the door.🚪”

However, four days later, Bryant called for Trump’s impeachment. He wrote, “Okay, w/Mr. Trump’s post Capitol assault comments this week, I now believe there is little room other than the 25th Amendment or Impeachment. He’s literally, the worst president. Ever.”

In February 2022, Bryant wrote, “Enough of this. Mr. Trump is a clear and present danger, to any fair and reasoned democracy. Let’s be done w/this, and him please. This is all below America. Makes me sick.”

In August 2022, Bryant commended now-ousted Rep. Liz Cheney.

Commenting on a New York Times article in October 2022, Bryant wrote, “Well, here you have it. The smoking gun. Is it possible, that a former US President, is simply a common criminal, w/a knack to talk, bluff and freestyle?”

Bryant appeared to celebrate actions taken against Trump by NY AG Letitia James and Judge Arthur Engoron.

In November 2022, Bryant cheered when several Republicans were defeated in the midterm elections, and Democrats took control of the U.S. Senate.

“It’s official. America is (almost) back. Almost ALL of the Trump-crazy candidates and election denier candidates — were roundly defeated in the mid term elections. The VOTERS. And the vast majority of AMERICANS — have SPOKEN. 🦅,” he wrote.

In October 2023, Bryant pushed the false claim by former Trump Chief of Staff John Kelly that Trump disparaged U.S. service members and veterans.

On September 6, 2024 he commented on a CNBC article and wrote, “Impressive support from the business community for ⁦@VP @KamalaHarris. 88 corporate leaders endorse Harris, including CEOs of Yelp, Box.”

Just three days ahead of the November 5 Election Day, Bryant had posted a report about his “friend” Anthony Scaramucci, who briefly served as White House Communications Director during the first Trump administration, until he was ousted ten days later.  Scaramucci has since been a staunch Trump critic and supported Joe Biden and Kamala Harris in 2020 and 2024.

Considering the current situation, a post Bryant made on June 18 of last year is ironic. Commenting on a Forbes article, he writes:

“Arrogance has seldom been a winning strategy. ‘Don’t win hearts and minds, bully them into submission…’ Well, let’s see how that works. Trump Says Execs Who Don’t Support Him Should Be ‘Fired For Incompetence’—While Touting Tax Cuts @forbes.”

And now…. here he is… working with Trump cabinet member and “longtime friend,” Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent.

Laura Loomer says she will be personally informing President Trump!
