From ABC7 News: FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. (7News) — The man accused of fatally stabbing a person in Bailey’s Crossroads in Fairfax County on Sunday is an illegal immigrant, law enforcement sources tell 7News Reporter Nick Minock.

Sources tell 7News that Anibal Armando Chavarria Muy, 38, is from Guatemala.

Muy faces a second-degree murder charge after he was arrested by Fairfax County police. He is being held without bond at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center.

Police said Muy fatally stabbed a man who was found inside a home with multiple stab wounds to the upper body and was pronounced dead at the hospital. Muy left the scene before officers arrived. The victim and Muy knew each other, according to investigators.

Muy reportedly entered the US illegally, at an unknown time and place, meaning he is considered a “gotaway.”

Muy already has a criminal history. He was charged with assault and battery in November 2024, after a woman accused him of punching and trying to strangle her. However, a judge dismissed the charge.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement reacted to the murder with the following statement:

Yet another life lost in a sanctuary county at the hands of a criminal alien who should have never been here in the first place.

Fairfax County PD arrested Chavarria Muy of Guatemala in connection to a fatal stabbing of a man in Bailey’s Crossroads, Virginia. The male victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

When will sanctuary politicians wake up and begin putting American lives FIRST?

The Department of Homeland Security wrote:

ANOTHER FAIRFAX FATALITY. Just one month after Stephanie Minter was stabbed to death by a criminal illegal alien at a bus stop, Anibal Armando Chavarria Muy—a criminal illegal alien from Guatemala—has been arrested for second-degree murder.

On March 30, 2026, Fairfax County Police Department arrested Chavarria Muy in connection to a fatal stabbing of a man in Bailey’s Crossroads, Virginia. The male victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

DHS is calling on Virginia Governor Abigail Spanberger and Virginia’s sanctuary politicians to not release this murderer back into our communities.
