From ABC25 WPBF News: The Jupiter Police Department said Friday that a man was arrested in connection to making written threats against the Republican presidential and vice presidential candidates.
The police department said Michael M. Wiseman, 68, was arrested on charges of written threats to kill.
During the police department’s investigation, it was determined Wiseman had made written threats on social media against presidential nominee Donald Trump and vice presidential nominee Sen. J.D. Vance and their families.
The Jupiter Police Department provided the following details in a Facebook post Friday evening:
On Friday, July 19, the Jupiter Police Department arrested Michael M. Wiseman on charges of Written Threats to Kill after an investigation found that the suspect had made written threats on social media against former President Donald Trump and Senator J.D. Vance and their families.
JPD was alerted to the threats through multiple online crime tips as well as residents who expressed their concern in person. After investigating the reports and the suspect’s Facebook account, JPD detectives found that Wiseman had made multiple threats against Trump and Vance, who earlier this week became the Republican nominees for President and Vice President, respectively.
Threats were also made concerning bodily harm to members of the Trump and Vance families. JPD coordinated the investigation with the United States Secret Service and the Palm Beach County State Attorney’s Office. JPD officers took Wiseman into custody without incident.
Screenshots were captured of some of Wiseman’s appalling posts on Facebook, in which he called for sexual violence against Trump and Vance’s daughters, and called for the murder of both Trump and Vance.

In another screenshot, Wiseman wrote to others reading his posts, “Please identity yourself if you are a Trump Nazi so I can boycott your business.”

Internet sleuths have posted data indicating Wiseman was born in Canada, and lived in Jupiter.
