In a major update Monday morning, the FBI announced that DNA evidence collected from the spot where Charlie Kirk’s assassin hid has been positively matched to the suspect, Tyler Robinson, who is now in custody and facing murder charges.
More updates are continuing to be announced on the case:
1 – Charlie Kirk’s alleged assassin ‘taken over’ by leftist ideology while FBI probes wider plot
From Fox News: FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino said Monday that investigators are probing whether Charlie Kirk’s alleged assassin acted alone or as part of a broader plot, while also revealing troubling signs that the suspect had been “taken over” by ideology leading up to the shooting.
Bongino told Fox News’ “America’s Newsroom” that although one suspect is in custody, the bureau is “looking into” possible accomplices.
“If this was a larger effort, if there was any aiding and abetting, whether it be financial or someone who knew the specifics of it and failed to report that, we’re looking into that,” he told Bill Hemmer Monday. “There’s not going to be a stone left unturned.”
“It appears from the data we’ve accumulated that this ideology had infected him and had taken over,” Bongino said. “He was intent on making Charlie his target and people may have known in advance.”
2 – Chilling new video shows Charlie Kirk suspect Tyler Robinson casing campus hours before assassination
From the New York Post: Newly released footage shows Charlie Kirk murder suspect Tyler Robinson patrolling a residential street close to Utah Valley University (UVU) just hours before last Wednesday’s shooting.
Robinson, 22, is seen driving down a street in Orem at 8:23 a.m. in the same Dodge Challenger that police say he drove to the UVU campus, home security video shows.
Just over an hour and a half later, at 9:57 a.m., Robinson is seen walking past the same security camera wearing a red T-shirt and gray shorts.
The outfit is different from the all-black clothing he was captured wearing in surveillance video from after the shooting.
Homeowner Jessa Packard, whose camera captured the haunting footage, said law enforcement descended on her quiet street shortly after the shooting, searching homes and retrieving security video.

3 – Tyler Robinson had rabid ‘obsession’ with Charlie Kirk, chillingly wrote he had perfect plan to ‘take out’ the conservative icon
From the New York Post: Tyler Robinson had a rabid “obsession’’ with Charlie Kirk and vowed to “take out” the conservative influencer because he “hated” his views — boasting he had the perfect murder plan, the FBI revealed Monday.
In an interview on Fox & Friends, FBI Director Kash Patel said of Robinson, “He had a text message exchange with another individual in which he claimed that he had an opportunity to take out Charlie Kirk — and he was going to do it because of his hatred for what Charlie stood for.”
