Someone seriously needs to clean up the Social Security rolls!

Elon Musk, head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) announced on X that the DOGE team has discovered there are over 20 million people on the Social Security rolls who are over 100 years old.

Over 15 million of those are over 110 years old… all the way up to 229 years old. One person is listed at up to 249 years old, and another list as up to 369 years old.

The New York Post points out that a Social Security Administration’s (SSA) watchdog released an audit in July 2023 showing that 18.9 million people listed as 100 years or older — but not dead — were in the database.

Another audit back in March 2015 had shown that 6.5 million people with Social Security numbers but no death information were over 112 years old – although only 35 people worldwide had reached that age.

Now DOGE has come across the same data, showing nothing has ever been done to clean up the mess.

“According to the Social Security database, these are the numbers of people in each age bucket with the death field set to FALSE! Maybe Twilight is real and there are a lot of vampires collecting Social Security 🤣🤣,” Musk joked.

One person pointed out there are 394,943,364 social security numbers but the total U.S. population is only 334.9 million.

Musk replied, “Yes, there are FAR more “eligible” social security numbers than there are citizens in the USA. This might be the biggest fraud in history.”

“The number of US citizens eligible for social security is closer to 310M,” Musk added.

“What’s super weird is that the @USGAO pointed out years ago that millions of dead people were tagged as alive by Social Security, but nothing was done!” Musk continued.

Gen. Mike Flynn joked, “I have to admit, there are days when I feel 369 years old 🤣.”

Alex Nowrasteh, Cato Institute vice president for economic and social policy studies, told the New York Post in a telephone interview Monday that some illegal aliens were “stealing identities of people who are deceased but not marked in the Social Security system.”

Nowrasteh explained that many illegal aliens use stolen social security numbers just to get jobs in the U.S., but they are not necessarily collecting social security checks.

However, filmmaker Robby Starbuck pointed out another concern, asking, “I wonder how many of these people over 100 are registered to vote and vote in elections? 🤔”

Judicial Watch president Tom Fitton wrote, “This problem has been known for at least a decade and now @realDonaldTrump, through @DOGE and @ElonMusk’s team, wants to finally do something about it!”
