NEWS ALERT: ‘Doctors’ Committee’ Opposing RFK Is Bill Gates-Backed Astroturf with Fake Names

14

From BreitbartA “committee” widely cited in the media as opposing the nomination of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as Secretary of Health and Human Services turns out to be a Bill Gates-backed “Astroturf” organization that accepts fake signatories.

The “Committee to Protect Health Care,” cited by NBC News and others, published an open letter declaring that doctors are “appalled by Donald Trump’s reckless decision” to appoint Kennedy. Thousands are said to have signed.

However, there is no verification process for signatories. (Breitbart News was able to sign up as Dr. Donald Duck, OG, of Disney World, FL, specializing in podiatry.) The anti-Kennedy petition simply accepts any signature from anyone.

The Committee to Protect Health Care is a 501(c)4 organization, meaning that it does not have to reveal its donors.

NBC News, who wrote multiple hit pieces on Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth ahead of his confirmation, published the report on January 9, promoting the petition against RFK Jr., claiming the signees are all doctors.  NBC wrote:

More than 15,000 doctors have signed a letter urging senators to vote against confirming Robert F. Kennedy Jr., President-elect Donald Trump’s pick for secretary of health and human services.

“The health and well-being of 336 million Americans depend on leadership at HHS that prioritizes science, evidence-based medicine, and strengthening the integrity of our public health system,” the letter reads. “RFK Jr. is not only unqualified to lead this essential agency — he is actively dangerous.”

The letter was posted online by the Committee to Protect Health Care, a physicians advocacy group. Beyond his well-documented anti-vaccine views and advocacy, the letter cites other conspiracy theories Kennedy has actively spread, including baseless claims about a link between school shootings and antidepressants and his promotion of disproven treatments for Covid-19.

The “Committee” pushed out the NBC News article and wrote, “BREAKING: 15,000+ doctors urge Senate to reject RFK Jr. for HHS Secretary. 📢 Doctors: Take action TODAY to fight this dangerous nomination 👉.”

After being hit with backlash, the group has now turned off the comments on their post, allowing only followers to respond.

As of Monday night, the petition now has over 24,000 signees, and the document still claims the signees are all “doctors across the nation” who are “outraged at RFK Jr.’s appointment to Secretary of Health and Human Services.”

Influencer Jillian Michael sounded the alarm last week. “How crazy is this… The supposed letter signed by “over 17000” doctors denouncing @RobertKennedyJr is actually fake. Take a look,” she urged.
