NEWS ALERT: Democrats and Republicans Team Up to Slip Stealth Amnesty into DHS Funding Bill as Shutdown Looms

From Breitbart: Pro-American activists and groups are slamming the establishment’s bipartisan push for a stealth nationwide amnesty that would help progressives and CEOs freely use the huge population of million illegal migrants to sideline American citizens.

The stealth amnesty got a big push forward on Tuesday night when Senate Democrats and Republicans agreed to delay passage of the 2026 funding bill for the Department of Homeland Security. The DHS bill is now being held back until Senate Democrats and Republicans can include a series of apparently minor changes that would create a huge bureaucratic barrier to the deportation of non-violent illegal migrants.

But pro-American legislators and activists are fighting back.

“We should not give Democrats a single INCH when it comes to backing law enforcement,” tweeted Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-AL). “Enforce the law. Deport criminals.”

Friday afternoon, Sen. Eric Schmitt (R-Mo.) laid out a plan to speed up deportations. He wrote:

Let’s be absolutely clear about what’s happening here. Democrats want to cripple ICE as a backdoor to amnesty. Today, on the Senate floor, I laid out a better vision: My four-point plan to accelerate deportations, end the violent anarchy, and restore the rule of law.🧵

Step 1: End Sanctuary Cities Permanently.

Sanctuary policies tell illegal aliens that federal law will be ignored in Democrat cities, giving them impunity to commit crimes without fearing deportation. A nation cannot survive if federal laws stop at city limits.

Step 2: Enhance Penalties for Illegal Entry and Re-Entry.

Illegal entry is currently a misdemeanor. Weak penalties incentivize entry. It’s time to make illegal entry a felony and meet re-entry with swift & severe punishment. Predictable consequences discourage illegal entry.

Step 3: Protect Our Law Enforcement.

Law enforcement and ICE agents are being targeted. Obstruction and assault have been normalized. We must pass my my Protect and Respect ICE Act to double the penalty for attacking ICE and crack down on interference and escalation tactics.

Step 4: Dismantle Rogue NGOs.

There are NGOs that supported mass immigration during Biden and now coordinate interference and encourage confrontation. And they do so with taxpayer dollars. Any NGO that incites or supports obstruction will not receive a penny in taxpayer money.

A nation that does not enforce its laws or protect its border and people cannot exist. The time for choosing is now. We must affirm that the U.S. is a nation governed by law. The future belongs to the countries that believe in themselves enough to enforce their laws.

Rep. Brandon Gill (R-Tex.) declared on Wednesday, “No amnesty. No amnesty-lite. No “path to citizenship.” No “Dignity Act.” This is a red line. The left has weaponized mass migration for decades – transforming our country economically, culturally and politically. We absolutely cannot codify their lawlessness.”

The Heritage Foundation wrote, “If the illegal alien gets to stay, it’s amnesty. No amnesty. More deportations. Period. Thank you for your attention to this matter.”

Podcaster Shawn Farash wrote, “Newt Gingrich says we need to have a “National Conversation” about amnesty for non-violent illegal aliens. Sure. I’ll have that conversation. Hell no. No amnesty for anyone. Deport every illegal alien. Conversation over. Did I miss anything?”

Journalist Nick Sortor wrote: “WORST OF THE WORST” ESSENTIALLY MEANS AMNESTY. 80 MILLION PEOPLE VOTED FOR ALL ILLEGALS TO BE DEPORTED. STAY THE COURSE, PRESIDENT TRUMP!”
