The straw poll results are in from the 2025 Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Washington, D.C., which is just wrapping up its four-day annual conference on Saturday.

Over 1,000 attendees at the conference weighed in on who they want to be the Republican presidential nominee in 2028, since President Trump will not be able to run again.

In an overwhelming landslide, the CPAC attendees threw their support behind Vice President J.D. Vance, with a whopping 61%.

Others on the list of potential candidates didn’t even come close, with Steve Bannon getting 12% and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis earning 7% of the straw poll vote.

Below is the full list posted by CPAC:

JD Vance – 61%
Steve Bannon – 12%
Ron DeSantis – 7%
Marco Rubio – 3%
Elise Stefanik – 3%
Donald Trump Jr. – 2%
Tulsi Gabbard – 2%
Vivek Ramaswamy – 2%
Sarah Huckabee Sanders – 1%
Rick Scott – 1%
Kristi Noem – 1%
Nikki Haley – 1%
Greg Abbott – 0%
Undecided – 4%

The CPAC straw poll also showed that 99% of the people polled at CPAC believe President Trump is doing a better job leading this country than in his first term in office.

The Rasmussen Reports daily presidential tracking poll showed President Trump receiving a 51% approval rating, in a bipartisan poll of likely U.S. voters across the nation on Friday.
