From the New York Post: The Biden administration has been flying migrants from California, which is being overrun, to Texas — where Gov. Greg Abbott’s tough border control measures have deterred illegal crossings into the state, The Post can reveal.

For the last month, pricey Border Patrol charter flights on commercial-sized planes have been hauling border crossers from San Diego to Texas’ Rio Grande Valley, sources told The Post.

Sources say the flights, which have been operating every week, cost an estimated $80,000 and are known for being “extremely expensive.”

The report explains that, according to internal federal data, the migrant holding facilities in the San Diego region have been inundated and are at 150% capacity, and several loopholes in the Biden administration’s new border policies have made it tougher to deport certain people crossing the border.

For example, unaccompanied children, people with medical issues and illegal aliens from so-called “hard to remove” countries (such as those which do not permit charter repatriation flights) are allowed to stay in the US.

Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah) reacted to the report, writing, “Remember: while President Trump is dodging bullets, Joe Biden is still driving an invasion at our Southern Border, and making you pay for it.”

In another concerning update, Fox News reporter Bill Melugin announced on Tuesday:

NEW: Per newly released CBP data, just under 495,000 migrants have flown into the U.S. and have been paroled into the country via the Biden admin’s controversial CHNV mass parole program for Cubans, Haitians, Nicaraguans, & Venezuelans since the program first started in late 2022 & early 2023.

A recent DHS Inspector General report found that no DHS component/agency has been tracking expiration of parole grants – and ICE will not have the manpower or resources to find and deport those who end up overstaying & become unlawfully in the U.S.

Up to 30,000 migrants per month are being paroled into the U.S. by the Biden administration via the CHNV program, which has survived Republican challenges in court so far.
