FROM NEW YORK POST: Charlie Kirk’s alleged assassin Tyler Robinson was “full of hate” in the days before the shooting, according to a family friend, as authorities revealed the 22-year-old had confessed to the assassination and had been turned in by a relative, after the suspect first said he would rather kill himself than go into custody.
Bullets found in the chamber of the rifle reportedly used by Robinson included apparent left-wing slogans such as “Hey fascist! Catch!” and another referencing “Oh, Bella Ciao!” a popular Italian anti-fascist song, Utah Gov. Spencer Cox said [during a press conference].
(Note: “Oh, Bella Ciao!” means “Goodbye, beautiful” – a message adapted by Italians fighting the Nazis in World War II.)
Authorities interviewed Robinson’s roommate, who showed them many Discord messages from the suspect, including ones telling him to retrieve a rifle and giving details about where it would be found, wrapped in a towel, in a wooded area close to the Utah Valley University campus.
The messages associated with the name Tyler state “a need to retrieve a rifle from a drop point, leaving the rifle in a bush,” “having left the rifle wrapped in a towel,” and “a mention of a scope and the rifle being unique,” Cox said.
Authorities had recovered a “high-powered, bolt-action rifle” in a wooded area near the university campus in conditions that match those messages.
Cox said the rifle was a Mauser model 9830 odd six caliber, 36 caliber bolt action rifle with a scope.
In other messages, the “Tyler” poster said he had changed his outfit after the shooting, Cox said.
According to law enforcement sources, Robinson’s father, identified as Matt Robinson by Newsweek, recognized his son in photos released by the FBI on Thursday. He then contacted the Washington County Sheriff’s Department.
When Tyler returned home, Matt confronted him, and Tyler admitted to being the gunman but refused to surrender himself. The alleged shooter insisted that he would rather kill himself than turn himself in.
At that point, Matt brought in their youth minister, who is also a task force officer with the US Marshals Service. He called the FBI and they arrested Tyler.
Police discovered bullets at the scene with online-centric, anti-fascist, and trolling messages.
“If you read this, you are gay LMAO” — and “Hey fascist! Catch!” aimed at the conservative debater.
According to Cox, the inscription on the casing fired said: “notices, bulges, OWO, what’s this?”
The text is an internet meme and “copypasta” that originated around 2018–2019. “OwO” is an emoticon used in online culture, particularly in furry and anime communities, to represent cuteness or curiosity. The full phrase is a reaction that originated as a form of trolling in online role-playing communities.

According to the Post, Tyler’s family “lives in a six-bedroom home in Washington, Utah, which is just over 250 miles from where the 22-year-old is accused of assassinating Kirk, 31, with a single shot from an elevated position about 200 yards from the tent where the father of two was speaking at the university’s Losee Center.”
Cox said investigators interviewed a family member of Robinson’s who said he had “become more political in recent years.”
“The family member referenced a recent incident in which Robinson came to dinner prior to September 10, and in the conversation with another family member, Robinson mentioned Charlie Kirk was coming to UVU,” cox said. “They talked about why they didn’t like him and the viewpoints he had.”
According to NBC News, “Public records indicate that Robinson’s last voter registration date was on July 13, 2021, and his political party is none declared.”
FBI Director Kash Patel also spoke at the news conference, detailing the coordination of law enforcement resources. He ended his remarks with a heartfelt tribute to Kirk: “See you in Valhalla.”

Charlie Kirk’s assassin Tyler Robinson, 22, killed him because he hated his opinions and thought he was a fascist. Yet ironically, HE was the fascist, killing someone to silence their opposing views.

Tyler Robinson, 22, killed Charlie Kirk. He was driven by hatred for Kirk’s views, which he labeled fascist. This is what happens when you have a whole decade of the media and college professors branding anyone who isn't a liberal a "fascist." They have blood on their hands. pic.twitter.com/2oTLjH6xeJ
