Isaiah 52:7
How beautiful on the mountains
are the feet of those who bring good news,
who proclaim peace,
who bring good tidings,
who proclaim salvation,
who say to Zion,
“Your God reigns!”
[From the New International Version]
This verse, found in Isaiah 52:7, celebrates the arrival of those who bring good news. It describes how beautiful it is when messengers come over the mountains with joyful news. This imagery emphasizes the joy and anticipation felt by those awaiting God’s message.
The verse highlights the specific message these messengers bring. They proclaim peace, which is a welcome relief to those in turmoil. This peace signifies God’s promise of tranquility and harmony, offering comfort and hope to the listeners.
