John 15:5

I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.

[From the New International Version]

This verse, found in John 15:5, uses the imagery of a vine and branches to illustrate our relationship with Jesus. Jesus is the vine, and we are the branches connected to Him.

The verse emphasizes the importance of staying connected to Jesus. When we remain in Him, and He in us, we are able to bear much fruit. This means that our lives will be productive and full of good deeds.

However, the verse also warns that apart from Jesus, we can do nothing. Without this vital connection, we lack the strength and guidance to accomplish meaningful things.

Staying connected to Jesus involves maintaining a close relationship with Him through prayer, reading the Bible, and following His teachings. This connection is essential for spiritual growth and effectiveness.

In summary, John 15:5 reminds us that our strength and ability to bear fruit come from our relationship with Jesus. By staying connected to Him, we can live fulfilling and impactful lives.
