3 John 1:4
I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.
[New International Version]
In this verse, the apostle John expresses deep joy in knowing that those he spiritually guides, his “children,” are living according to the gospel’s truth.
His happiness stems from seeing them remain faithful to God’s teachings and living in alignment with Christ’s message. “Children” symbolizes the close relationship between a spiritual leader and the believers under their care. Walking in the truth refers to consistently living a life that reflects Christian values and integrity.
Ultimately, this verse represents the fulfillment of seeing others thrive spiritually.
