2 Corinthians 4:18

So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen,
since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

[New International Version]

This verse is an example of the importance of focusing on spiritual realities rather than earthly, material ones.

It reminds us that the visible world is temporary and fleeting with all its challenges and trials. In contrast, the unseen spiritual truths—such as God’s promises, His presence, and eternal life—are everlasting.

By shifting our focus to the eternal, we can find hope and strength to endure hardships. The verse calls for a perspective rooted in faith, valuing what lasts forever over what will eventually pass on.
