The Kind Of God You Are

“For the Lord is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness continues through all generations.” (Psalm 100:5, ESV)

This single verse offers so much hope in a world that often feels unsteady. This truth can be our anchor: The Lord is good. His essence is goodness itself. Every gift, every sunrise, every breath is an overflow of a heart that cannot be anything but good. Goodness is not what God does; it is who He is.

The verse also tells us that His steadfast love endures forever. The Hebrew word for “steadfast love” (hesed) is a covenant-keeping, fierce, pursuing love—the kind that refuses to let go even when we wander and outlasts our failures and doubt.

Finally, His faithfulness continues through all generations. The same God who parted the Red Sea, sustained Abraham, David, and the early church, is the same faithfulness that upholds you now. Your story is woven into a tapestry of grace that spans centuries. What He has done, He will do. What He has promised, He will keep.

God’s goodness is in your life. Today, let us accept His hesed with intention and be ungrateful communion with him

Father in Heaven, You are good beyond my understanding or deserving. Thank You that Your love does not waver with my weakness, and that Your faithfulness does not fade with time. Let me be a bearer of generational grace and use my life to declare to the next generation: the Lord is good. In Jesus’ name I pray, AMEN.
