Psalm 43:4
“Then I will go to the altar of God, to God my exceeding joy, and I will praise you with the lyre, O God, my God.”
Joy is a Gift from God
Joy cannot be manufactured or controlled. It is gift from God, especially experienced through a relationship with Jesus Christ.
The Bible teaches that God is the source of joy, and He desires for believers to experience joy in their relationship with Him. In the verse, the psalmist is expressing anticipation of returning to the temple to worship God, as his greatest joy is offering praise with music.
Dear Lord, thank you for the gift of joy. Thank you for helping your humble servants to seek Your wisdom and comfort. Help us to find joy in every day. In Jesus name we pray. AMEN.
