1 Peter 1:8-9
8 Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:
9 Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.
This scripture teaches us there are many benefits to faith, both for the present, and for eternity. By having faith in God, and knowing that Jesus gave his life on the cross for our sins, we love Him now, and that brings us great peace and joy. And, of course, there’s the eternal benefit, because it brings salvation to our souls.
It’s hard to imagine walking through life without the Lord by our side. Don’t wait until the end of your life to put your faith in Jesus. Do it now! Faith makes the journey easier, and the destination sure.
