The Unchanging Faithfulness of God

“The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases;his mercies never come to an end;
they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.”

Lamentations 3:22-23 (ESV)

As the sun rises and paints the sky in hues of gold and rose, we are given a quiet, daily reminder: God is faithful.

Every morning the sun rises—without fail, without announcement, without needing our applause. It simply appears, exactly as God ordained from the beginning. In the same steadfast way, His love and faithfulness greet us anew each day.

Great is Your faithfulness, Lord.

Not “pretty good” or “most of the time”— great.

Not dependent on our performance yesterday, our mood today, or our perfect plans for tomorrow.

Your faithfulness is as constant as the sunrise, as reliable as gravity, and infinitely more tender.

Whatever yesterday held—broken promises from others, your own stumbles, uncertainty about what today will bring— this truth remains unshaken:

God has already decided to be faithful to you this morning and every morning, for as long as you live.

“He who promised is faithful.” (Hebrews 10:23)
Carry that truth with you, because He already has your whole day in His faithful hands.

Faithful Father,

Thank You that Your mercies are new with this sunrise.
When I feel unsteady, remind me that You are the Rock who never moves. When I doubt Your love, let me look to the sky and remember: You kept Your word to bring the dawn once more. Help me trust Your heart today—steady, kind, and true.

In Jesus’ faithful name I pray, AMEN!
