Perfect Timing
While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born.
Luke 2:6
As we greet this new morning, just ahead of Christmas Eve, let’s pause and reflect on the beautiful message woven into Luke 2:6. This simple verse holds profound truth about God’s perfect timing.
Waiting can be one of life’s hardest lessons. Whether we’re enduring hardship, longing for relief, or anticipating a cherished moment, the delay often tests our faith. We may find ourselves echoing the cries of our hearts, “Hurry up, God!” Yet, even in our impatience, God’s timing remains flawless.
Consider the centuries believers waited for the promised Savior. Generation after generation asked, “How long, Lord?” But God was never late. He orchestrated every detail, and when the appointed time arrived, Jesus was born—not a moment too soon or too late. This divine precision reassures us that God’s plans unfold exactly when they should.
As we face our personal struggles or await Christ’s second coming, we cling to God’s promises. Isaiah 40:31 reminds us, “Those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength.” Even when answers seem delayed, our trust in God anchors us. His timing, though different from ours, is always perfect.
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for the reminder that Your timing is perfect. Help us to wait with patience and trust, knowing that You are always working for our good. Renew our strength and fill us with hope as we lean on Your promises. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
