Patience is a virtue – wait on the Lord

But those who wait on the Lord
Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint.

Isaiah 40:31

In a world that rushes and expects immediate results, waiting can feel like a burden. However, Isaiah 40:31 promises that waiting on the Lord gives new energy, enabling us to soar like eagles, run without getting tired, and walk without getting weak.

We often make impulsive decisions due to impatience, leading to trouble. Waiting is crucial for God’s work in our lives at His perfect time.

King David, a man deeply devoted to God, understood the importance of waiting. He faced challenges and uncertainties, and his psalms show his reliance on God during waiting times. For instance, in Psalm 25:5, David prayed for God’s truth and guidance, expressing his daily wait for His salvation. He also encouraged his heart to wait quietly for God alone, finding hope in Him in Psalm 62:5. David discovered that waiting on the Lord gave him strength, courage, and a new perspective. Psalm 27:14 emphasizes the importance of waiting on the Lord, promising strength and guidance.

Trusting and waiting allow us to experience God’s power through tough times, building resilience and transforming us into better people. It’s a time of spiritual growth, where we learn to rely on God’s power instead of our own.

Whether you need guidance, feel tired, or face life’s challenges, remember Isaiah 40:31. Wait on the Lord by praying, reading His Word, and trusting His timing. Trust in God and have hope.
