Isaiah 41:9-10

9 Thou whom I have taken from the ends of the earth, and called thee from the chief men thereof, and said unto thee, Thou art my servant; I have chosen thee, and not cast thee away.

10 Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

[King James version]

These verses were a message from the Lord to Jacob, but God’s promises are the same to anyone who is willing to respond to His call and live for Him.

God calls us, from all ends of the earth – there’s nowhere His love cannot reach, and there’s nowhere His eyes do not see. He has chosen us, and He calls us to be His servants, to be His children.

Sometimes we’re fearful, maybe we feel inadequate, too weak, not good enough. The Lord has already responded to all those excuses by assuring us that He will be with us, give us strength, and hold us up.

Because it’s not about us or our own “goodness” or “worthiness.”  It’s about our Savior.  The price has already been paid.
