Exodus 33:14-15
And He said, “My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest.”

Deuteronomy 31:8.
“And the Lord, He it is who doth go before thee. He will be with thee, He will not fail thee, neither forsake thee. Fear not, neither be dismayed.”

[King James version]

Often when we are facing big decisions, we feel moved to pray for guidance, to ask the Lord to show us the right direction to take, and to be with us as we step out in faith.

But every day is a new beginning, and we don’t know what it will hold. We don’t know who we will meet, what experiences we might face, or what choices we will need to make.  It’s just as important that we ask God to be with us in the small, daily choices, as it is in the big choices in life.

Let’s make this the prayer of our hearts each and every morning: “Lord, if Your presence can’t go with me, I’m not going there. Please lead me according to Your will, and help me to always go in the direction that You would choose for my life. Help me to never take a single step away from Your presence.”

In return, this can be our strength and calm assurance: “And the Lord, He it is who doth go before thee. He will be with thee, He will not fail thee, neither forsake thee. Fear not, neither be dismayed.”
