Colossians 1:13-18
13 He hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the Kingdom of His dear Son,
14 in whom we have redemption through His blood, even the forgiveness of sins.
15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature.
16 For by Him were all things created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones or dominions or principalities or powers: all things were created by Him and for Him.
17 And He is before all things, and by Him all things consist.
18 And He is the head of the body, the church. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He might have the preeminence.
[King James version]
Are you ever guilty of putting limits on God? Or thinking He is only interested in certain issues or just parts of your life? Maybe you’re fearful there are some problems God can’t solve? Well, this scripture proves all that wrong!
These verses assure us that our Heavenly Father’s love and mercy is powerful enough to draw us from even the darkest corners, and bring us into the greatest light. Through the blood of Christ, we are redeemed and cleansed.
It’s impossible to comprehend just how great God is, but we know He created it all, and there is nothing He does not see or care about.
“Dear Heavenly Father, we’re thankful today that You are the One in control of all things, in Heaven and Earth. We know You created it all, and You have so much more prepared for us in eternity. Help us to just allow You to take full control of our lives, and to remember that all things work together for good to those who love You. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.”
