Galatians 5:13
[King James version]: For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.
[New International version]: You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love.
When we’re only living for ourselves and working to reach our own goals and ambitions, it will never feel like enough. There will always be an empty space in our soul, as if real satisfaction is always just outside our reach, just around the corner.
But if we want to know real satisfaction and joy, our hearts will be overflowing with fulfillment when we learn to serve others and help bring joy to another, just as Jesus taught us to do.
The “pay it forward” concept really does pay huge dividends!
