So many things in this life are uncertain and unpredictable. Some days those we love the most hurt and disappoint us. Dark clouds loom overhead. We may feel overwhelmed, even defeated. But one thing we can always be sure of… God will never disappoint us. And when the sun shines again, we can look back and know that when we cried out to our Heavenly Father, He always answered, and helped us back up.
I love this old favorite hymn, Abide With Me. In the end, it’s all we really need… just to abide with the Lord, and know He is with us.
