Psalm 107:9

King James version: 8 Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
9 For he satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness.

New International version: 8 Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for mankind,
9 for he satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things.

There’s a void in our lives that can only be truly satisfied if we let Jesus fill it.  We can fill our minds, our hearts, our time and our lives with so many things and experiences, but none of it will give us real, lasting peace unless Jesus has first place.

“Heavenly Father, please fill our hearts with your spirit this week, and fill our lives with your presence.”

Enjoy the hymn below, “Now none but Christ can satisfy.”

One more special request… please keep DML’s friend, Gav, in your prayers this week. Gav’s 29-year-old son John is an NYPD officer, and is undergoing surgery today for cancer.
