1 Peter 2:9-10

But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. 10 Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.

[New International version]

Commentary from Anneta G.

The above verse says we should “declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.”  The song below says, “Let my life reflect Your light.”

Verse 10 says “you have received mercy,” while the song says “clothe me in Your grace.”

I just love the thought that our faith isn’t something that should just be on a shelf that we pick up now and then, but it becomes a part of who we are, and it should be reflected in everything we do and our very spirit.

May God help us each to walk in His light, and to reflect the light of Christ today.
