Ephesians 1:7

“In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace.”

(Commentary by Kat L)

Redemption, according to the dictionary, means saving or being saved from sin, error, or evil. It also means getting something back by paying for it or clearing a debt.

The Bible says Jesus is the fulfillment of hope, and that in Him we have redemption. He cleared our debt.

As Christians, we know that life in this fallen world will bring challenges and temptations. We’re forgiven, but God’s work with us isn’t over yet. We’ve been redeemed by Christ, and He continues to guide us toward righteousness.

Dear Lord, we thank you that through Jesus’ death and resurrection, humanity has been freed from its separation from You. We pray that You bring us closer to You everyday, and that we would be used for Your glory, honoring Jesus’ sacrifice, the price of our redemption.
