Romans 8:28
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
[King James version]
Commentary from Anneta G: A casual glance at this verse may first make us think that only good things will happen to us if we love God… but that’s not what it says.
The verse says “all things work together for good.” And I’ve realized that most good that has happened in my life has come from very difficult and hard experiences. In fact, I know that I’ve learned the most and grown closer to God from some of the hardest experiences.
So the next time I have to endure a heartbreaking experience, I hope I will view it NOT as “the end of the world” but that I will ask God what he wants me to learn from it, knowing all things work together for good to them that love God.
Dear Heavenly Father, help us to remember that often the greatest blessings come from the darkest storms.
