Psalm 61:1-3
1 Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer.
2 From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
3 For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy.
[King James version]
When we’re overwhelmed with life, stress, struggles and disappointments, the problem is often made worse because we feel there’s no one who understands, no one to turn to, and no one to lean on. Maybe we feel there’s no one we can trust or depend on.
The answer is in the Lord, who will be our rock, our shelter and our refugee. He will carry you through the storm and through the darkness. He will lead you through the valley and over every mountain. He will help you bear the burden that’s too heavy for you alone and give you peace amid any sorrow. Just ask Him.
