MISS MISINFORMED: Ilhan Omar makes INCREDIBLE claim about Americans and Iran

From Fox News: As lawmakers debate what role, if any, the United States should play in the escalating conflict between Israel and Iran, progressive “Squad” member Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., made the curious claim that no one has “attacked” the United States.

“No one is attacking or has attacked Americans. It’s time to stop dragging Americans into war and letting Israel once again get America involved in their chosen war. Stand up for the Americans who believed you wanted peace and don’t commit another generation of Americans into a costly war,” Omar said in response to President Donald Trump.

A Fox News Digital report published Wednesday morning refutes Omar’s claim that Americans have not been attacked, including extensive examples of Iran’s direct and proxy strikes on U.S. forces, support for terror groups and assassination efforts.

In that report, Fox News said, “The examples of Iran’s involvement in attacks on Americans include direct and proxy attacks on U.S. forces, support for terror groups, and assassination efforts.”

It goes on to list the examples, including the 1979 US Embassy hostage crisis, 1983 Beirut bombings, 1996 Khobar Towers bombing. The report also called out Iranian activities such as supporting terrorism in Iraq and Afghanistan, terrorism, and kidnapping.

On Tuesday, Trump called for Iran’s “UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER!” on Truth Social.

Trump said the United States had no plan to strike Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei “for now,” but indicated America’s “patience is wearing thin.”

Meanwhile Omar has raised the hackles of many patriotic Americans for declaring that the United States is becoming one of the worst countries on earth.

Omar made the comments during on interview published Friday on Democracy Now!’s YouTube channel.

“I mean, I grew up in a dictatorship and I don’t even remember ever witnessing anything like that to have a democracy, a beacon of hope for the world to now be turned into one of the, you know, one of the worst countries, where the military are in our streets without any regard for people’s constitutional rights,” Omar said.

“It is really shocking, and it should be a wake-up call for all Americans to say this is not the country we were born in,” she added. “This is not the country we believe in, this is not the country our Founding Fathers imagined, and this is not the country that is supported by our Constitution, our ideals, our values, and we should all collectively be out in the streets rejecting what is taking place this week.”

“I think the person who is in the process of destroying our country should look in the mirror and that’s Trump,” Omar said. “And notice that he is the one that has hatred for the values that we have here in America and everything that we have built.”

In light of her recent statement, resurfaced comments from a 2022 trip to Somalia are being shared on social media. During the trip, Omar discussed her political plans and said she hoped she and her children could live in her native country.

“I am a Somali girl… that misses her country and wishes to live there,” she said.
