From the Daily Caller: Former Republican Rep. Mike Rogers holds a considerable lead over several Democratic candidates in Michigan’s open 2026 Senate race, according to new polling.
The survey, conducted on behalf of the Republican group Sentinel Action Fund and first shared with the Daily Caller News Foundation, finds that voters would choose Rogers over the three Democratic primary candidates in head-to-head matchups. Michigan voters also prefer Republicans on immigration, crime and the economy, giving the GOP several “tactical advantages” in the battleground state, according to the polling memo.
In a hypothetical general election matchup against Michigan state Sen. Mallory McMorrow, Rogers holds a 13-point advantage. The Michigan Republican also leads Democratic Rep. Haley Stevens and Bernie Sanders-endorsed former public health official Abdul El-Sayed by 9 points.
Rogers is running for the seat currently occupied by retiring Democrat Sen. Gary Peters, and is expected to easily win the GOP primary with Trump’s endorsement.
Rogers just released the following campaign ad on Friday:
Michigan families deserve a leader who will work with President Trump to make life truly affordable — not a radical obstructionist playing games with their paychecks.

Below is an earlier campaign ad Rogers posted in April:
President Trump needs strong allies in the Senate to help him deliver on the mandate given by the American people.
That means bringing manufacturing jobs back to Michigan, protecting seniors’ social security, lowering the costs of gas, groceries & prescription drugs, and… pic.twitter.com/MBNn5gcZ4t

One of the Democrats running for the same Senate seat is Abdul El-Sayed, a 41-year-old anti-police progressive activist born to parents who immigrated to the US from Egypt.
