1 – Biden allies double down with claims Biden “freeze” videos are “manipulated,” now launching new effort to “challenge Trump social media machine”

From Reuters: U.S. President Joe Biden’s main re-election SuperPAC is raising millions of dollars to try to solve a problem vexing Democrats: how to compete with Republican Donald Trump’s social media machine that spits out a wall of viral videos.

The previously unreported effort by the highly-secretive Future Forward USA Action underscores broad concerns among Democrats and Biden donors that he and his campaign are losing a viral-video war with the Republican Party, which relentlessly portrays him as too old and out of touch.

Democrats say they are playing catch-up in a battlefield with few rules or ways to police manipulated or misleading content before it reaches tens of millions of Americans on their smartphones.

The Palo-Alto-based SuperPAC, backed by tech giants like Facebook co-founder Dustin Moskovitz and LinkedIn founder Reed Hoffman, is raising at least $10 million to help better understand the algorithms that help Trump and his allies dominate vertical video platforms.

2 – Fox News Poll: Three-point shift in Biden-Trump matchup since May

From Fox News: President Biden is the frontrunner in a hypothetical matchup against former President Trump for the first time since October, as positive views of the economy inch up — hitting their highest level thus far in the Biden presidency, according to a new Fox News national survey. Since May, there was a 3-point change in the presidential race. Trump was ahead by 1 point last month, while Biden is up by 2 points today: 50%-48%. That’s well within the margin of error.

Beyond improved evaluations of the economy, a range of other events since the May survey could influence small shifts in vote preference, including Trump’s hush money conviction, Hunter Biden’s gun trial conviction, a positive U.S. jobs report and Biden’s immigration executive order.

Biden’s current 50% support is his best this election cycle; he hasn’t been ahead of Trump since October 2023 and that was by just 1 point (49%-48%).

3 – Trump rips into Fox News in fiery social media post

On Wednesday, former President Donald Trump lambasted Fox News by posting the following statement on his Truth Social page:  “Nobody can ever trust Fox News, and I am one of them, with the weak and ineffective RINO, Paul Ryan, on its Board of Directors. He’s a total lightweight, a failed and pathetic Speaker of the House, and a very disloyal person. Romney was bad, but Paul Ryan made him look worse. As a team, they never had a chance. Rupert and Lachlan, get that dog off your Board – You don’t need him. ALL YOU NEED IS TRUMP. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”

4 – Roger Stone predicts who Democrats will replace Joe Biden with on 2024 ballot

From Breitbart: Political strategist Roger Stone told Breitbart News he believes President Joe Biden will be “replaced” by Democrats in the 2024 presidential election, naming former first lady Michelle Obama as a potential replacement.

After being asked if he thinks Biden will drop out of the 2024 presidential race, Stone replied, “If you went to the Turning Point event in Palm Beach — which was a great event — I predicted in my remarks that shortly before the convention, the Democrats would recognize that Joe Biden is just not capable of getting through another campaign.”

Stone spoke with Breitbart News on Saturday at Turning Point Action’s “The People’s Convention” in Detroit, Michigan. Stone added that he therefore believes “the chances are greater than they have ever been before that Joe Biden will be replaced — that shortly before the convention, he will announce his decision, not to resign, but to not run again.”

“He will throw it open to the convention,” Stone said. “And I still believe the convention will draft Michelle Obama.”

5 – Michelle Obama issues Juneteenth voter registration message

From The Hill: Michelle Obama is delivering a get-out-the-vote message to mark Juneteenth, calling this year’s election a “critical moment.”

“Juneteenth is all about celebrating our collective freedom and fighting to protect it,” the former first lady said in a video posted Wednesday on social platform X. “Our power, our rights and even our planet are on the ballot this year,” said Obama, who founded the voter registration and engagement organization When We All Vote in 2018.

6 – New State Law Requires Ten Commandments Be Displayed in All Classrooms

From the Epoch Times: Louisiana has become the first state to enact a law mandating that the Ten Commandments be prominently displayed at all public schools and colleges.

Under legislation that became law on June 18, Louisiana schools that receive state funds will have to display the Ten Commandments “in each building it uses and classroom in each school under its jurisdiction.”

The bill specifies that the text must be presented at the main focal point of a poster or framed document measuring at least 11 inches by 14 inches and printed in a “large and easily readable font.” It also requires a 200-word “context statement” explaining that the Ten Commandments were “a prominent part of American public education for almost three centuries.”

7 – Biden’s Green Energy Agenda Would Make the U.S. Military Reliant on China, Study Finds

From Breitbart: The Biden administration’s aggressive push to transition to alternative green energy is leaving the U.S. military dependent on its top adversary, China, which would be disastrous in an event of a war with the country, according to a study by the Heritage Foundation publishing on Thursday and obtained first by Breitbart News.

The study, entitled “Chinese Handcuffs: Don’t Allow the U.S. Military to Be Hooked on Green Energy from China,” is the second part in a series researching the perils of over reliance on Chinese renewable energy and a “misguided” environmental agenda.

8 – Media pundit calls for destruction of police, blasts ‘racist’ Americans who call 911

From Fox News: An NPR correspondent repeatedly called for the law enforcement complex in America to be destroyed – believing it to be irreparably racist and beyond any reform.

Gene Demby is a correspondent who is focused on telling purportedly “Black Truths” at NPR’s culture wing where he espouses leftist views, including that America is “a country that’s built and defined by white supremacy.” On his X account, where he calls himself “The LeBron James of Pig Feet,” Demby expresses his most extreme ideologies, notably that police don’t prevent crime and perpetuate “racist state violence.”

“Abolition means *no* policing because policing is an inherently destructive force,” he said in a June 2020 X post.

“‘Reform’ is different from abolition because it’s based on the idea that policing should exist, but simply modified – with more diverse police forces, with diff[erent] training, etc. But none of that interrupts the imperatives of policing,” the NPR correspondent said in an August 2020 X post.

9 – Democrat-led state requiring paid break time for moms who need to pump breast milk at work, under new law

From ABC News: New York moms returning to work after giving birth will now get paid break time when they need to pump breast milk at their jobs, under a new law that took effect Wednesday.  Gov. Kathy Hochul said the law requires employers in the state to provide a half hour of paid break time to workers who need to express breast milk for up to three years after childbirth.

10 – Cyberattack shuts down auto dealerships across the U.S.

From CBS News: CDK Global, a company that provides auto dealerships across the U.S. with software for managing sales and other services, has been hacked, prompting the company to temporarily shut down most of its systems.

That is effectively preventing about 15,000 car dealerships from making sales. General Motors dealerships rely on CDK’s systems, as does Group 1 Automotive, an auto retailer with hundreds of dealerships across the U.S. Holman, with dealerships across eight U.S. states, is another CDK client.

The cyberattack on CDK Global began Tuesday evening, Bleeping Computer, a cybersecurity news site, reported Wednesday, taking the 15,000 car dealerships it serves offline. It is not currently known who, or what group, is behind the cyberattack.
