FROM DAILY MAIL: Newly uncovered emails from Jeffrey Epstein’s personal Yahoo account shed light on how alleged victims were exploited to recruit other women, according to a Sept. 12 report.
Epstein’s emails, spanning more than 20 years but concentrated between 2005 and 2008, revealed the convicted sex offender’s thoughts and methods regarding the women he allegedly targeted, according to a Bloomberg report.
The emails shed light on Epstein’s alleged recruitment tactics, showing how his female associates regularly sent him photos and profiles of young women — including details about their age, personality, jobs, ethnicity and physical appearance, according to screenshots obtained by Bloomberg.
According to Bloomberg, “the emails detail a methodical and callous approach [Epstein] took to recruiting young women.”
Female contacts and assistants apparently sent him photographs and descriptions of women, as if he was shopping in a catalog. One such email described a prospect as “nice personality, student, a little curvy, Russian, 19.”
“Epstein often replied with a brief yes or no,” Bloomberg reports. “Sometimes he was more expansive: ‘fat and Asian sorry,’ he wrote in one email.”
According to Bloomberg’s review, the Epstein emails reveal that his friend Ghislaine Maxwell, who was convicted of sex trafficking in relation to Epstein, exchanged at least 650 messages with the man.
“Around 203 were in the first half of 2008, as Epstein’s lawyers worked to shut down a federal investigation,” Daily Mail reported, citing Bloomberg.
Bloomberg also noted occasions when President Donald J. Trump was referenced.
From Bloomberg:
Except for three minor instances, the emails do not mention President Donald Trump, who has said that his friendship with Epstein ended before Epstein was charged with sex crimes. One exchange referencing Trump came on Sept. 14, 2006, two months after Epstein was charged in Florida with solicitation of prostitution. It includes a list of 51 politicians, business executives and Wall Street powerbrokers. The list includes people who’ve previously been linked to Epstein, including Jimmy Cayne, former chief executive of Bear Stearns; Jes Staley, who would later be named the CEO of Barclays; and Trump. Cayne died in 2021. Staley did not respond to a request for comment.
“Plse review list and add or remove peeps,” Maxwell wrote. “Remove trump,” Epstein responded. The pair discussed additions to the list and at least one other deletion.
Bloomberg was unable to determine the meaning of this list. The email has no subject line or additional commentary, so it’s impossible to know whether they were planning an event, preparing a holiday card list or something else.
White House spokeswoman Abigail Jackson responded to the mention of Trump in the emails, saying, “This is just more stupid, fake news playing into the hands of the Democrat Hoax trying to link President Trump and Epstein.”
