MANUFACTURED TO HATE?: Tyler Robinson’s dark messages indicate he was NOT a conservative despite upbringing. Was college to blame?

The man accused of killing political activist and father-of-two Charlie Kirk came from a conservative family. His grandmother told Daily Mail that she is stunned by the charges against her grandson.

She said the suspect, Tyler Robinson, 22, is a quiet, reserved young man who “never” spoke politics. The messages he allegedly shared in the aftermath of the killing, via an online chatroom, point to his guilt, and messages he inscribed on bullets — some referring to internet culture and others sharing anti-fascist sentiments — point to a belief system, that is decidedly non-conservative, non-Republican.

FROM DAILY MAIL:

According to Utah governor Spencer Cox, one of the bullets was engraved with ‘Notices bulge OwO, what’s this?’, a meme used to troll ‘furries’ and transgender people. According to Utah governor Spencer Cox, one of the bullets was engraved with ‘Notices bulge OwO, what’s this?’, a meme used to troll ‘furries’ and transgender people.

Furries are a community who adopt anthropomorphized animal personas, sometimes in a sexual context.

The website ‘Know Your Meme’ points to the phrase reportedly engraved on the bullet being used online to troll furries.

OWO is intended to represent a wide-eyed face of surprise, with ‘notices bulge’ referring to the male appendage.

Other engravings detailed by the Mail include:

  • ‘Hey Fascists! Catch’, alongside an up arrow, a right arrow symbol and another three arrows pointing downwards.
    • The symbols could be a reference to the Iron Front, a paramilitary group set up in opposition of the Nazi Party during the Weimar Republic period in Germany.
    • Social media users have also pointed to a video game called Helldivers 2, a 2024 shooter game. A code to call in an airstrike in the game requires the player to hit up, right, followed by hitting down three times.
  • ‘Bella Ciao’, the words of prominent Italian anti-fascist song which is dedicated to the Italian resistance who fought against Nazism. The song has also seen a recent uptake in interest after being heavily featured in the Netflix series Money Heist.
  • ‘If you read this you are gay LMAO’, Cox added. LMAO is an internet acronym for ‘laughing my ass off’.

Robinson’s grandmother, Debbie, said, “My son, his dad, is a Republican for Trump.”

“[Tyler] is the shyest person,” she added. “He has never, ever spoke politics to me at all.

“Most of my family members are Republican. I don’t know any single one who’s a Democrat. I’m just so confused.”

The suspect’s father, Matt, runs a family-owned construction company. His mother, Amber, works for Intermountain Support Coordination Services, which helps disabled people receive care.

The parents are registered Republicans, according to public records. Their son is a registered voter but has NO party affiliation.

Online, vicious posts mock Kirk, saying the alleged killer came from a conservative family and was raised exactly the way Kirk suggested – God, country, guns.

Some social media users point to major change that may have contributed to his act of violence, however.

In one video posted by Amber to Facebook, the alleged assassin is seen reading a scholarship award letter for Utah State University, where he briefly attended classes, according to insider sources for the Mail. At the time, Robinson appears to be lighthearted and happy.

Although details aren’t clear about why he stopped attending classes at the university, he continued his educational journey at Dixie Technical College in St. George, Utah, where he was a third-year student in the electrical apprenticeship program at the time of the shooting.

On social media, some are suggesting that Robinson’s college experience may have led to the change in the boy.

“Tyler Robinson didn’t just ‘snap,'” wrote one social media user. “He was manufactured.”

“Classrooms became factories. Professors became engineers. And out the other side comes another radical, programmed to hate,” the poster continued. “The question isn’t *why him*. The question is: how many more are they building right now?”

Another user posted on X, “Tyler Robison was radicalized in college. Time to look at every professor, course curriculum, department head, adjunct, and see just how far the radicalization goes in our schools and universities.”
