From Daily Mail: Tucker Carlson took to the stage at TPUSA’s Student Action Summit in Tampa to call out the Trump administration for grandstanding rather than affecting change.
Carlson, 56, made the comments Friday, accusing conservatives of failing to deliver on campaign promises or tackling America’s biggest problems.
The former Fox host’s fervent speech received surprising praise from progressives who flooded the video with positive comments.
Carlson honed in on Trump’s posturing in the Middle East, as cities like New York and LA have been hung out to dry – all while the US becomes unaffordable for normal families.
“I don’t know, it kind feels like you’re feeding me appetizers,” Carlson said at the event that followed a stellar week, politically, for Trump. “At some point, I want to look around and see a better country. I want to see a country I recognize.”
Carlson’s speech criticized conservatives for creating angst and distracting from real issues. He also suggested Epstein worked for Israeli intelligence.
He questioned how Epstein went from being a math teacher without a degree to “having multiple airplanes, a private island, and the largest residential house in Manhattan?”
“Where did all the money come from?” Carlson asked.
He opined that it is “extremely obvious to anyone who watches” that Epstein “had direct connections to a foreign government.”
“Now, no one’s allowed to say that foreign government is Israel, because we’ve been somehow cowed into thinking that that’s naughty,” he said, adding, “There is nothing wrong with saying that, there’s nothing hateful about saying that, there’s nothing antisemitic about saying that — there’s nothing even anti-Israel about saying that!”
Carlson went on a rant about taking care of America, saying, “If you deny people what they actually want long enough, and instead substitute things that you claim they should want,” the administration will be scrutinized.
“Like, bombing Iran; you know, I’m not for Iran,” Carlson said. “Or you spend all day telling me that it’s so important that boys not play on girls soccer teams, or whatever – I agree. I hate the trans stuff passionately. I think you should keep the boys off girls’ soccer teams.”
He continued, “I don’t want to see people sleeping on the sidewalk. I don’t want to see people ODing on drugs. I want to know where those drugs are coming from. Why can’t you stop it?
“You’ve got the US military. Don’t you have Seal Team Six? What are they doing today?”
“You’re lecturing me about how it’s a great moral victory that I kicked the boys off the girls’ soccer team? Good. I’m so glad,” he continued. “But let’s do the real stuff like making New York livable. And creating an economy where my kids can have kids.”
Carlson highlighted the practical needs of Americans, like the next generation affording houses.

Liberals were animated in their response to Carlson’s speech.
“Wait why do I agree with like 6 things he said???” a social media user wrote.
“[C]ompletely agree,” write annother. “American conservatives LOVE to get caught up on abortion and transsexuals. They love discussing about it for hours instead of deeper issues.”
“Is Tucker sounding like a presidential candidate?” asked an Instagram user.
Carlson joins other disgruntled MAGA leaders who are calling on Trump to rethink or refocus his agenda. Influencer Laura Loomer is calling on Trump to fire AG Pam Bondi, saying he’s libel to lose members of the MAGA movement if he doesn’t.
Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk has warned that the GOP will lose young voters in the next election if they don’t follow through on the promises they made, such as affordable housing.
The pushback comes amid wider dissent in the MAGA movement. In one example, Trump supporters are posting videos of burning MAGA hats after Trump asked the country to move on from the Epstein files. Many have also voiced their displeasure after Trump voiced support for Bondi.
Loomer also pushed back against Carlson other his speech, accusing him and Turning Point USA of anti-Jewish rhetoric. She also predicted that Carlson would run against Vice President J.D. Vance in 2028 “as the extreme libertarian Bernie Sanders.”
