LOW STANDARDS: NFL Responds to Calls to Drop Anti-American Rapper Bad Bunny from Super Bowl Halftime Show

FROM BREITBART:  NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell has rejected calls to pull his invitation for cross-dressing Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny to headline next year’s Super Bowl halftime show.

Indeed, Goodell claims that the offer to Grammy-winning rapper, whose real name is Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, was very carefully considered, and he stands by the decision.

Since the NFL announced its choice of Bad Bunny, the rapper has spurred several controversies. Right after being announced, social media erupted as users began sharing photos of the rapper wearing women’s clothes. In one, he was seen in a pink skirt and wearing high heels.

In a statement to The Wrap, Goodell said, “He’s one of the leading and most popular entertainers in the world. That’s what we try to achieve. It’s an important stage for us. It’s an important element to the entertainment value, and it’s carefully thought through.”

“I’m not sure we’ve ever selected an artist where we didn’t have some blowback and criticism. It’s pretty hard to do,” Goodell continued, seeming to brush past specific concerns about Bad Bunny.

“I am not saying that there won’t be additional talent that might be involved, but that’s always the way it works,” he added.

Conservative commentator and author Oli London wrote in an X post, “Anti-Trump and anti-ICE singer Bad Bunny set to perform at the Super Bowl Half Time Show. The Puerto Rican rapper has been selected to perform at the Super Bowl LX amid his past social media posts criticizing ICE resurfacing. In a video posted of an ICE raid in Puerto Rico in June he said: ‘Look, those motherf*****s are in these cars, RAV-4s. They’re here in Pontezuela. Sons of b****** instead of leaving the people alone and working there.’ He also recently said that he did not book any U.S. dates on his tour over fears ICE agents would detain his fans. ‘But there was the issue of like, f***ing ICE could be outside. And it’s something that we were talking about and very concerned about.’”
